I present you the latest Internet sensation, the Nihilist Penguin in my drawing style! 🐧
"These penguins are all heading to the open water to the right. But one of them caught our eye, the one in the center. He would neither go towards the feeding grounds at the edge of the ice nor return to the colony.
Shortly afterwards, we saw him heading straight towards the mountains some 70 km away. Dr. Anley explained that even if he caught him and brought him back to the colony, he would immediately head right back for the mountains. BUT WHY?
He was born among thousands, yet somehow lived unseen surrounded by warmth, but never held by it. Always a step behind, as if hoping someone would notice and wait. No one ever did.
When winter tightened its grip there was no space left for him, not because he was weak, but because the world had alreadv moved on, so he left. No fight, no farewell. The mountains welcomed him with silence. Every step hurt, but staying would have hurt more.
At night, the cold pressed in, yet it felt familiar. The wind listened when no one else ever had, and the snow strangely was kinder than being ignored. Somewhere far behind him was safety. Somewhere ahead was uncertainty. But for the first time, the direction was his own.
Maybe he wasn't walking away from the colony. Maybe he was walking toward meaning because sometimes the ones who don't fit the path are the only ones brave enough to choose a new one. And even if he could not fly, he would climb the highest mountains so that he might touch the sky."

Happy International Day of Education! (Jan 24)
----- ----- ----- ----- -----
Yes, the poem is mine, no it's not AI. I've been writing this kind of (silly) poetry in Croatian, English or German all my life. This one is inspired by my struggles as an educator, it consists of 6 stanzas with 4 lines, 8 syllables in each line and an ABCB rhyme scheme.
The accompanying drawing is a redraw of my illustration from 2022. It's very similar to the original, just redrawn as a statue. It represented teaching as my superpower and also came with a rant about everything that's wrong in the school system. I guess some things never change.

Plans, plans, plans...

Obviously, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is here to stay, no matter how loudly some of us oppose to it. And who knows, it could be useful in particular areas or for something that could improve our lives, but no one can convince me it should be used in art. 😡
Yep, it's an issue that makes me so mad! AI is not "just a tool". A pen or a stylus are tools that help us create something from our imagination. But more and more "artists" (so-called "promptstitutes") post completely AI-made illustrations and then boast about it and get praise and likes. But... why though? Can't you leave art for us who create everything from the scratch?
Are they some wannabe-artists who know what they want to create but just don't have will or time to learn how to do it step-by-step like we do? Or are they just having fun with this new toy? It just doesn't make sense: you didn't create it, you told a program to steal other artists' styles for you, so where is the joy of creating in that? The process, the struggle, the whole experience?
Anyway, their mindless "fun" also affects my personal concerns. It's not a secret that I'm fed up with the rotten school system and that the best solution for me would be to leave it and do what will heal me: drawing, creating, building something meaningful. But how to leave a secure job and thread the unknown path of digital creations knowing that there are more and more AI traps along the way? Who needs a digital artist when you can finger your keyboard for a while to get your abominable result? And cheaper, maybe even for free?
I know it's not going to stop, and this rant won't change anything. Even I get fooled and "like" some posts, just to "dislike" them the second I find out they're made with AI. Look... I'm still here, taking care of every line and questioning every colour choice, so... what about following my accounts to see some human-made art?

A collage of all my artwork from 2025! 🎨 Fan art and character design as usual; drawing in Clip Studio Paint; no AI. 🚫
2026 will be the 10th year of my artistic online presence, yet still with a limited audience after all these years... 🤔 I'm not sure why, I'd say I'm doing a pretty good job. 🤷♂️
Anyway, a big thank you to my faithful followers and friends! 😘 Let's get on with the show! ⏩️
