Marcus The Worm

I had an idea to end this year with a collage illustration of 2025's most popular memes, but there are too many to choose from. I guess I used my phone way too much this year and dove too deep into the social media algorithm. 😭

So I decided to post only one of them and the final choice fell on Marcus The Worm, an unusual VR Chat character with a deep monotone voice and the weirdest things he says and does. He's usually seen in company of Robert, a kind of an alligator avatar or something like that, who comments on and reacts to Marcus's behavior, helps him, saves him from danger etc.

It's that kind of a meme where you click on just one funny video and then you forget about it, but before you know it, you're cooked and it'll flood your algorithm with a million more videos. There are many "classic" quotes and I included some of them in my drawing, as well as a few of his unusual poses.
